How Do I Set My Mind To The Mode Of Entrepreneurship?

It has definitely been an autumn of changes for me. From flying to the ground, from Middle East back to Europe, from the eternal sunshine to the promised land of freezing temperatures and from a relationship to freedom (as you could see it). I needed a quiet moment for myself, a break from running around the world, literally and mentally. I took my time back home in Finland and used it to find my path stronger again.

Personally, whenever I have that idle moment to think, to think again and to overthink even, my mind starts to travel. A wise person once said that creativity needs its’ own time and space.

That moment of silence to find yourself

For me, those inactive moments always turn themselves to new ideas and an internal need to plan projects and businesses of some kind. This week, I had the privilege to join an intensive short course to develop my thoughts forward, and get the support for my ideas. The week has given me so many questions to answer, and I will definitely share my findings in the near future.

Maybe the mindset of an entrepreneur in its’ sense we know it today, is at least partly built in. As long as I can remember, I was always the one organizing various things, from countless clubs as a child to more professional events at later stage. But more importantly, the way we choose to spend the extra time and space on our hands is crucial towards a mindset of an entrepreneur.

The world, Internet and especially social media is full of inspiration and good material to catch, but can be quite overwhelming. I tend to use too much time on social media, which – I am pretty sure – is the case for most of us. Instead of pointless scrolling, I have tried to add more educational and enriching content to my days.

Speaking of, now I have stuffed my schedule quite full with countless courses and material, but it is the aftermath of that quiet moment and it is filled with motivating and inspiring points. Above all, I have the control over the material as I choose to.

Mind mapping my ideas

Take the time to get to know yourself, your goals and your motives.

Make the plan.

Along the way, remember to listen to yourself.

Be intuitive and passionate.

Authenticity will do part of your work.

Do your own thing and focus on it!

Imagine the stardust to your branches

I tend to forget these points at times, but those moments of silence work as magical reminders of keeping my path. The world will continue to scream but keep your mind clear and on your own path!

PS. This following article explains the topic super well: ARTICLE IN CAPITAL BBC.

Is It The Freedom That Brings The Happiness?

Freedom. What is it? This is the subject the famous Brazilian author Paulo Coelho is writing about in his novel ‘Zahir’.

Is it freedom to be free from all the possible obligations of the society? Free from work, free from taxes and free from a specific place. Is it freedom to have the possibility to come and go as one wishes, and without obligations to anyone?

In case you’re able to succeed to find all the freedom, will you be happy? Can one be happy free from everything? What is happiness anyway?

I personally think both freedom and happiness are states of mind. You won’t be any freer if you leave your partner, and neither any happier if you buy a new car. The only way is to work on ourselves, develop our own minds. Then even those points would make you freer and/or happier.

In order to experience happiness, we have to be brave enough to let the freedom take its place in our lives, and there’s no space for jealousy or any other disturbing feeling in this process.

One needs to search freedom and the following happiness in full understanding of the universe. We need to be able to give space for everything and everyone around us, enjoy the path of life with patience and stay open for unknown.

What is freedom then in concrete? Is it the permission that I gave to myself to enjoy this beautiful evening by a lake?

At this point, I’ve come to the conclusion with my thoughts that the freedom is most of all a way of thinking. The concrete side of it is very personal. Someone feels free seeing the sunset solo, someone else when sharing the moment with another one. I feel the freedom when I am able to choose from these two options.

Search yourself, find your freedom and you may start following your path to happiness.

Barcelona State Of Mind

Passionate Latin culture. History in the narrow streets. Attractive Catalan language. New winds and waves from the sea. Barcelona is a mixture of factors that create a perfect platform for art. A platform to create something new.

The city is known as an inspiration for great artists such as Antoni Gaudí and Pablo Picasso. During my short stay these Easter days, I explored the Barcelona air, enjoyed glasses of delicious wines and of course, got amazed by few main pieces of Gaudí; Parc Güell, Casa Batlló and the master piece – Sagrada Família.

Personally, I have never liked to go around all the touristic sight-seeings in a new place. I might have a map in my bag, but I just love to walk randomly, find special places, and this way experience the atmosphere of the city. Knowing the history of the area, and getting to know the art inspired by it, preferably with the locals, makes the experience full then.

I have visited Barcelona few times before, and even without knowing a lot beforehand, the city always had a certain impact on me. The freedom of mind the city gives, makes me always wonder the big questions of life. And those are thoughts that I really want to share with other people, either over that glass of wine or through my own art, and now also here in this blog space.

One important question in life that Barcelona makes me think, is ‘how to learn to live in a moment’. Live today with every little thing that we have. Do not worry about tomorrow that still doesn’t exist. Barcelona makes me enjoy. But it also makes me search the deepest parts of me to decide what I really need, what I really want and what I would be ready to risk for it. Barcelona brings me back to basics, to collect the pieces of me today.

These are tough questions, that might never have an answer. But you need to find the right questions first to start finding the answers. Right kind of surrounding to your current situation will give the needed push towards better understanding and good communication with your inner voice. With stronger voice and confident will the importance of the outer existence becomes more and more meaningless, you will be able to find your own inner peace and power anywhere. For me, it is Barcelona State Of Mind.
